Tests

Why test?

By testing at different stages of the project you can:

  • Save time and money
  • Support your designers and programmers
  • Optimize your results
  • Arise in the public convincingly

Experiences of the agency important

It depends on your agency if you are able to check the draft, the HTML files or the final website. If your internet agency has few experiences in accessibility, multiple checks are useful. Tests and consultations by neutral facilities can also contribute to a good result. An examination of the design can help to find barriers before the website goes live. Implementation effort can be reduced by a layout test. Internet agencies with few experiences in accessible web design should be supported by competent partners and tests during implementation.

Quality control - before the website goes live

Your accessible website is ready? Before you inform the press, you should ensure that the result really is accessible in order to avoid negative feedback. Do not rely on the statements of your internet agency alone. Even if the agency has experiences with accessible web design, a test is important. Verification by an independent facility will show if your site corresponds to the legal requirements of the BITV. It is important that the test considers different types of disabilities. A test by a visually impaired colleague alone is not sufficient. User tests are an important addition to technically oriented tests.
