Films in German Sign Language (DGS)

Many deaf people have difficulty in understanding texts.  According to the regulation on accessibility in information technology, the understanding of content should be supported through appropriate measures.  If information for deaf users is particularly important, you should enhance the text by means of a video in sign language.

WEB for ALL can create films in sign language for your website. The films are produced by a qualified freelancer who has many years experience in film direction, camera work and post production. The texts are translated by an accredited, deaf lecturer in German Sign Language. As the translator has been deaf since birth, she can communicate perfectly in German sign language (DGS).

The videos can be filmed at any time.  The only prerequisite is that the texts are available to us in their final version.

Creating a video in German sign language includes the following:

• Filming the sign language interpreter
• Post processing the video
• Conversion to different formats and bandwidth

The client will receive a video in sign language in the 3 most common formats for Realplayer, Quicktime and Mediaplayer. As a rule the films are created for specific sites. You will receive a special offer if you would like to have several sites translated into sign language.
